A gentle and delightful way to experience the energetics of aromatic and abundant plants like lemon verbena is by infusing them into cool water for at least four hours. I like to infuse mine overnight in the refrigerator. Don’t forget to give them a good slap to release their aromatics before pouring water over them.🌿💦

I am preparing herbal seasoning blends from the garden now to enjoy throughout the summer in salads and veggie roasts. Pictured here are lemon verbena, lavender, flowering thyme, and oregano that was just about to flower. Simple seasonal preparations like this keep me rooted in my herbal practice.
